Elinor can't wait to show some of her favorite parts of Europe to Carl
and you can be an important part of it.
We hope to visit Brugge, Belgium (a lovely mediaeval Flemish city with
its very own Michelangelo),
Tours, France (to visit family friends and amazing chateaux),
Luzern, Switzerland (Elinor is dying to show Carl the town where she
lived for a year and a half) and
Florence, Italy (because it's wonderful).
If four cities in four countries proves to be too ambitious a trip, we'll
probably pare the itinerary down a bit. :-)
We plan to go in late October but if for some reason that doesn't work (and we truly hope it does) we'll take our honeymoon on our first wedding anniversary.

This independently-owned cooking store in Pacific Beach (the neighborhood
where Elinor grew up) is a huge favorite of ours.
They cover all the basics plus all kinds of amazing gadgets and
tools we never thought of before (but now that we've seen, cannot
possibly live without).
And if that's not enough, they have a classroom where Elinor can learn
even *more* about canning and Carl can further hone his knife skills.
